During the Investing in AI Summit at Devcon, we had the privilege of hosting an eye-opening panel moderated by Jon Schwartz of GLIF and featuring Konstantin Tkachuk from Titan Network, Jonathan Victor of Ansa Research, and Hersh Patel from Opacity Labs. Together, they explored the challenges and opportunities at the intersection of decentralized AI and physical infrastructure networks, leaving us with valuable insights that will guide our understanding of this rapidly evolving space.
What resonated with us most was the focus on verifiability in decentralized systems. Konstantin explained the importance of ensuring consistent outputs across decentralized infrastructures, emphasizing, "You have to ensure that your bet is large enough that you don’t want to risk it in the first place." This illustrated the delicate balance between incentivizing honesty and discouraging malicious activity.
Hersh’s explanation of ZKTLS stood out as well. By bridging Web2 and Web3 through HTTPS, he showcased how verifiable proofs could be generated without requiring cooperation from centralized systems. As he put it, "The beauty of ZKTLS is you bypass the need for cooperation and still achieve accuracy."
Jonathan tied it all together with his emphasis on crypto-economic incentives, reminding us how critical it is to protect decentralized systems against exploitation. He said, "You need to think about how bad actors might exploit incentives to game the system and design accordingly."
We walked away from this panel with a deeper appreciation for the strategic thinking required to scale decentralized AI successfully. Sessions like these continue to fuel our passion for innovation and collaboration within the Supermoon Camp community.
